Solar and Lunar eclipses of 1973, 1975 and 1976 visible from the Netherlands

The partial lunar eclipse of 10 December 1973 - my oldest astronomy record!

the 11 May 1975 partial solar eclipse from the Netherlands

notes I made on 11 May 1975
On 11 May 1975 a partial solar eclipse was visible. This was the beginning of the end of  Saros 118, in the sense that after 57 total, hybrid and annular eclipses it was the first partial one of the remaining 7 eclipses of this Saros. The last eclipse of Saros 118 will be on July 15, 2083.

At the time I was 15, and this was my first solar eclipse. Above the group at the early morning of Sunday 11 May 1975 at the observatory of Bert van Geemen (right) and Rene Walterbos (mid at eyepiece of 11cm Newton).

Above some pictures I took during the total lunar eclipse of 18 November 1975.
